In beige cloth with gilt upper cover and gilt spine. This copy has a foreword of Krylenko, which is missing in many other copies of this book – Krylenko was the first Soviet Minister for Justice and also a head of the Soviet Chess Federation. He was later arrested and executed. In many books his name (or pages bearing his name) was removed.
