Hnefatafl is a strategic board game that was popular in Scandinavia and Northern Europe during the early middle ages. It is a game for two players, in which one attempts to lock up the other player's pieces, while the other attemtps to let their king escape to one of the corners. It was eventually surpassed in popularity by chess, but it is still available to play thanks to this edition, which includes a linen board and high-quality plastic pieces.
